This version of Muhammara uses almonds instead of breadcrumbs, adding a unique flavor and healthy twist to your breakfast table. You can also try walnuts instead of almonds and experiment with different spices.
Ingredients:
- 300g dried tomatoes, softened in warm water or strained if packed in oil
- 1 cup almonds
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ cup olive oil
- 4 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cumin and thyme, to taste
Instructions:

Soften the Tomatoes: If using dried tomatoes, soak them in warm water until softened, then drain. If tomatoes packed in oil or sauce, simply strain them.

Blend Ingredients: In a food processor, combine the softened tomatoes, almonds, garlic, olive oil, pomegranate molasses, salt, pepper, cumin, and thyme. Blend until smooth and well combined.

Final Mix: Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir until it reaches a consistent, spreadable texture.
