Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, add 1 cup of vegetable oil.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and knead well by hand.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and knead again.
  4. Continue adding the powdered sugar and flour, alternating in small amounts, until all is used up.
  5. Divide the dough into two parts, and roll each piece out to 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut cookies with shaped cutters or a glass edge, placing them 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 325°F (165°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  8. Cool on wire racks, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

These cookies sound light and crumbly, perfect with a dusting of sugar!
